GeoLang Ltd GeoLang Ltd is the prime sponsor of the World Language Documentation Centre (WLDC) establishing and maintaining the data to support ISO 639-6 for the representation of language variants.
This site will provide free access to the system that enables identification of the worlds language variants within their derivative hierarchies, from your local dialect through to known major language families. The project is on course but this Company is in its first few months of operation so this web site is very much in the process of being developed.
An example will be made available on this site by August 2006 and the standardised data is due to be published in January 2008.
This first stage of the full coverage of language variants involves in excess of 30,000 entries but continuing development through research and verification of information on the worlds extraordinarily rich variation of languge use will continually add to the coding system.
